Privacy, plainly.

The short version

No accounts. We use Google Analytics to see how the site is used, may show ads to keep the directory free (both disclosed below), and collect the minimum needed to run a club directory — nothing else.

Your location

If you tap "My location", your coordinates are used once to sort clubs by distance and are never stored — not in a database, not in logs we keep, nowhere. Deny the permission and the app works fine with the area picker.

What we store

• Browsing: your saved favourites live only in your own browser (localStorage). Aggregate visit analytics are collected by Google Analytics — see below.
• Club submissions: the club details you send plus your name and email, used only to review the listing and follow up. Contact details are never published.
• Messages: feature requests and contact messages, with the optional name/email you include, used only to read and reply.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site — pages viewed, rough device/location info, that kind of thing. Google Analytics uses cookies and may combine this data with information it holds from other sites you visit. It's used in aggregate to improve the app, not to identify you personally. See Google's privacy policy for how they handle it, or block it with a browser extension / ad blocker — the app works identically either way.

Advertising

To keep Runclubs.pro free, we may display ads served by Google AdSense. When ads are shown, third-party vendors — including Google — use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to show you ads based on your visit here and elsewhere on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of many third-party advertising cookies at aboutads.info. Cookies

Runclubs.pro itself sets no cookies — favourites and preferences live in your browser's localStorage and never leave your device. Cookies on this site come from the third-party services above: Google Analytics (usage measurement) and, when ads are shown, Google AdSense and its advertising partners. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the directory works fully without them.

Third parties

Map tiles load from OpenStreetMap and fonts from Google Fonts; those requests expose your IP address to these services, as with any website resource. The site is hosted on Railway; analytics run through Google Analytics and advertising through Google AdSense (both above).
